Spring has really finally sprung (despite the chilly day we’re having today!) and there’s nothing so beautiful as a New England garden beginning to bloom. It’s much easier to bear the brunt of our winters knowing that a profusion of blossoms is the light at the end of our cold, snowy tunnel. We’re making plans to spruce up our yards so we were thrilled to be introduced to Lynn Hamlen and her store, Folly Design Elements, in Darien, CT.
Folly features vintage garden and interior design accents found by Lynn (a former director of Darien’s Nature Center) on her many trips to flea markets here and abroad. Nestled among birdhouses and fountains, you’ll find armillary spheres and whimsical garden sculptures, clay pots and terrariums. We dare you to visit and not leave with something special!
Which is why it’s going to be very hard for us to spend two days at Folly this Friday and Saturday selling at a Spring Truck Show (with good friend Elaine who is launching Kirby and Company, an eclectic curated collection of vintage costume jewelry) and not be swayed by a purchase or two.
We hope you can join us if you’re nearby! Please see our Facebook Event page for more information.
