Setting a Fall Table with Terrain

Autumn’s Bounty

We took our friend Elizabeth from Petty Pink Tulips‘ advice this week and treated ourselves to lunch and a day of ~~window~~ shopping at Terrain. The day was sunny and warm, the pumpkins were bountiful and we took the opportunity to pick up some things to set a fall table. As soon as the weather cools, we’ll be bringing the outdoors in and capturing these beautiful fall days in our accessories. We’re big fans of placemats since they’re so versatile and these remind us of our weekend hikes in the local nature preserves.

And we never let a guest leave empty handed so mulling spices is our go-to gift this season.

Shop the Project with Terrain

Pot Press Party Favors

Terrain is one of our very favorite stores in Westport and we’ve enjoyed many a day of shopping and dining there (they have a wonderful cafe so plan your trip around lunchtime!) but we’ve never signed up to take one of their many classes or attend a “DIY” event. And while we wouldn’t describe ourselves as DIYers (more like DIFMs – “do it for me”), we do like to be creative and enjoy the results of a hands-on project.

Now Terrain has made it even easier to be “crafty” with their Shop the Project section online. All you need to do is read up on the project in The Bulletin, then click over to the store and shop. Many of the projects involve real plants (and we’ve sadly killed our fair share) and others are quite environmentally humane.

So join us as we whip up a batch of rosewater and try our hand at pot press party favors (which would make lovely decorations for your Easter table and takeaways for your guests!)

The Latest Buzz

Terrain… Coming Soon!

Terrain is Terrific!

A beautiful weekend and unseasonably warm temperatures (again!) have us wanting to get our hands dirty in the garden and get some planting done. We’re hoping Terrain in Westport opens soon as it’s THE store for the gardener (even ones with two black thumbs!)

If the Westport Terrain is anything like the Glen Mills, PA, store, we’re in for a treat! The DIY gardener will love the large retail space filled with everything from plants and planters to the latest in garden gear.

Spring Things

And those who would rather stick to decorating the inside of their home won’t be disappointed with the wonderful range of furniture, accessories and lighting.

April Events

Seeing as the store isn’t open yet, we might have to schedule a road trip this weekend to attend the container gardening demonstration – one of the many events scheduled for the month of April – and dine on locally sourced goodies at the cafe.

So Yummy!

For now, we’ll just have to satisfy ourselves with Terrain’s Bulletin to get updates and be inspired – we really like their “collected” series of posts!
