During our weekend in the Hamptons, we had the chance to stop by the new Jayson Home store in Sag Harbor. For those of you who are loyal readers, you know how much we love this place! Tucked away off of Main Street in an 18th century building that used to be a whaling and shipping supply store, this destination of urban sophistication occupies three distinct rooms, each with a unique style.
The front room is filled with sunlight and gifts for entertaining, both vintage and modern. Aren’t those Parma serving boards, coffered inlay boxes and vintage jars fabulous? Diane, of course, had to have the topiaries!
A second room has a more of a bohemian-surf vibe which stands in contrast to the typical white-on-white Hamptons style one would see in these parts. Here you will find soap stones, African beaded necklaces and exotic textiles.
The last room, anchored by a marble fireplace filled with selenite logs, is the most dramatic… Think Belgian manor house or Brooklyn brownstone, both of which can be effortlessly chic. We absolutely loved the vintage flower sconces which reminded us of our own childhood home in Brussels. Not to mention this Aalto amber chandelier!
If you happen to be in the Hamptons this summer, we definitely recommend a visit to Jayson Home. And if you’re not in the neighborhood, you can shop online!
