Or off the wall?
Let us know which you would choose – the wallpaper or the decorative accents!
Spring has sprung here in the Northeast (though winter never really arrived!) and before the bright yellows of forsythia and daffodils take over, we’re happy to see the pale purple blooms of grape hyacinth in our flower beds… and love the fact that we can include this pretty purple palette in our homes (and in our wardrobes!)
What pretty palettes are you working with this spring?

Pheromone by Christopher Marley
Beautiful Bugs and Butterflies
If you happened to be hanging around the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store on Fifth Avenue last Thursday, you may have caught a glimpse of our friend, Christopher Marley, who was launching a new, one-of-a-kind series of his beautiful, “buggy” art.
"Lumens Prism"
Chris was kind enough to offer our readers a signed copy of his book, Pheromone, filled with gorgeous images of his work – no coffee table should be without this unique discussion piece! So please leave a comment below with your email address or send us an email at TheBuzz.Giveaway@gmail.com by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 and we’ll choose a lucky winner on Sunday.

Former Bug-Phobic Christopher Marley
… to Christopher Marley for turning bugs (and other exotic and unusual bits) into beautiful works of art. A childhood aversion to insects became an appreciation of their unique hues, shapes and textures and now, Chris creates one-of-a-kind masterpieces that awe and amaze anyone who happens to see them. If you haven’t met this incredible artist in person (he does have a sensational booth at the New York Gift Show!), you’ll have a chance to do so at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York next Thursday, August 18th, from 3 to 6 p.m. We’ll be there with bugs bells on!

Mar y Sol Bags
We’re back from a couple of days of shopping at the Atlanta Gift Show and while we tweeted as we went, we did save some fabulous finds for this post.
Stray Dog Lamps
Buying stems and vases for our next collection usually takes up much of our time but we did save a day to browse the home decor showrooms and temps now that we’ve added a gift selection to our website.
Pheremone Planthopper Formation
Potting Shed Grow Bottle
Tourmaline Home Pillows
And while we missed seeing Katie from Matchbook Magazine speak on Friday afternoon and Katherine Ireland on Saturday (note to selves – extend trip one more day in January!), we did mix business with pleasure and met the adorable Kelly from Kelly Market for dinner. We love sharing ideas and sources with fellow bloggers, especially self-proclaimed product junkies!

Despite having to man (or should we say “wo-man”?) our booth at the New York International Gift Fair last week, we did sneak in some time to walk the aisles of the At Home section on Pier 94. After admiring the gorgeous Dransfield and Ross display that included whimsical flower tables (you can see them in this month’s House Beautiful), we caught up with longtime friend, Susan Carson, who creates the most beautiful decoupage lamps and furniture…

Carson & Co. - Tree Console and Lamps
and with the lovely mother-daughter team, Barbara von Schreiber and Shawn Silver, from the fabulous Dutch Touch Art Company.
Dutch Touch Art - French Tulips
Christopher Marley, owner of Form and Pheromone (in the booth right next to ours!) created quite a buzz with his framed beetles and butterflies having landed a spot on CBS Sunday Morning last month.
Form and Pheromone - Solar Ellipse
And finally around the corner, Gail DeLoach was introducing new product for her Asian inspired collection. We are always inspired by what we see when we attend these gift shows and this year was no exception!
