From Blog to Book

What do you get when you cross an acclaimed stylist and merchandiser turned store owner, a camera and a daily blog?  Style & Simplicity, An A to Z Guide to Living a More Beautiful Life by Ted Watson Kennedy, of course!

We’ve been longtime fans of Ted’s ever since our fabulous friend, Elizabeth, from Pretty Pink Tulips introduced us to him via her blog and have been reading his daily musings ever since.  Filled with “real stuff and real-life situations” and pictures he takes himself, Ted’s blog reads like an ode to all things he holds dear and through his posts, you get a true sense of what makes his life joyful and complete (like tulips, his pup Bailey, his home in the Hudson Valley and farm stand tomatoes to name a few!)

Inspired by the blog, Style & Simplicity promises to “be the starting point for discovering things you love and integrating them into your beautiful life.”  And since Ted did all the photography, you know that the book will capture the life “well lived”!

All this to say that we were truly surprised and thrilled to receive an invitation to a party in honor of Ted, and we’re so excited to finally meet this talented finder/shop keeper/curator/photographer and now author.

We’ll be sure to get a copy of Ted’s book and write a thank you note on his new line of stationery with Dempsey & Carroll – cards and envelopes with sayings which remind us to share elegance and grace with the world around us.
