Door Decor and More…

What do you get when you mix this…

Green and Glitter

with this?

A Door with Swag

A silvery, sparkly drop to decorate our doors!  We knew as soon as we saw the top image in Haus Design’s Holiday How-to’s that we were going to change things up a bit this year and forgo the traditional wreath for something a bit more interesting.  Once again, our talented friends at Nielsen’s in Darien translated our thoughts into beautiful reality and now our doors are divinely decked out for Christmas.

Ta-da!

We’ve also been adding some sparkle to the dining room with a charming boxwood topiary decorated with silver garlands, balls and pine cones…

Birds and Tree

while vintage-like baubles hang from the chandelier.

Silvered Touches

And the tree is trimmed with ornaments collected over the years, including our favorite small silver frames holding pictures of the boys as babies.  What’s not to love about the holiday season with all its glitter and festive fun (even when there’s still a ton of wrapping to be done!)

Trimmed and Terrific

What are your plans this weekend with four days and counting?  Whatever they are, we hope you have fun!

Your collection of tree ornaments is so pretty and festive! The swag is gorgeous too. Those silver ornaments are gorgeous as is the table topiary.

Enjoy the holiday and sending best wishes in the new year.

Way to swagger on during the holidays. I too am loving all the silvery sparkly bits and am going to try to figure out ways to keep sparkling on in the New Year. I am carrying a bag of Hershey’s al foil wrapped kisses to spread JOY!

So lovely! I will be taking my decorations down tomorrow, setting up for a fresh start in January! I did swags similar to those that you show and love them on my double doors! I also have some silvery pine cone ornaments that I hung from my chandelier in the dining room with greens…also pretty. I hope you both, and your families, had wonderful Christmas holiday celebrations! 🙂
