A Belated Baguette Birthday

Uncle Karl’s Vision

They say man cannot live on bread alone but we tend to disagree…  As little girls, we grew up on French baguettes in Belgium (and waffles, too) and now, as adults, we’re into Fendi’s fashion version (after all, calories do count these days!) which celebrated it fifteenth birthday last month.  This iconic purse was honored all over the world with celebrity-filled parties, a sketch by Karl Lagerfeld and even a book.

Over the years, Fendi has designed over 1,000 different styles and has partnered with many artists to create one-of-a-kind designs.

For the fall season, Fendi has re-issued some of it’s bestselling baguettes so we’ll definitely be looking into one of these…

Love the illustration and any baguette that’s calorie free, I’m a fan – though I must admit – love one chock full of calories on occasion, too!

Love! So many fun choices! I know somewhere at the back of my closet is a fendi from the late 90’s. Is it time to bring it out again?

I agree – a calorie free baguette would make me look BETTER not worse. 🙂

I have a brown sequined baguette I bought at the Fendi store when it was on 5th Ave….back in 1999. We were living in San Fran and looking for places in NYC, as hubbie was being transferred. This is back when I earned a real income and had few responsibilities. It remains one of my all time favorite bags and I’ll be sporting it this fall in honor of its special birthday!!

If man cannot live by bread alone, then same should be said for women and baguettes!
