With The Grain

Celine - Going Against the Grain

Finally, cooler autumn weather is here, bringing to mind fiery fall foliage, the air scented with the smoke of cozy fires and wonderful walks in the woods!  Perhaps that’s what Phoebe Philo of Celine was inspired by when she used this unusual wood grain fabric in her Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

Chilewich - Dining on the Grain

Although the faux bois look is nothing new, this pattern certainly pops up in the most interesting ways…

I love all of the above images. I plan on using some wood on my Thanksgiving table this year. I love just the plain wood plank as a charger, great inspiration. Happy weekend, Kathysue

On Pinterest, I have a board dedicated to “Wood” – that I love. Will you be adding a wooden vase to Diane James home…perhaps something to pine for…or conifer over!
