Wedding Belles

Going to the Chapel

This weekend  in 1991, we were all abuzz with wedding preparations, making round trips to the French countryside from Paris on a weekly basis to make sure everything for a fairy-tale reception was ready…

Chateau d'Esclimont - St. Symphorien, France

Romantic castle with towers and turrets surrounded by a moat: check

Salle de Mariage

Reception hall with soaring ceilings and stags’ heads (plaster, of course!): check

Fabulous Fleurs

Pale cream and pink flowers spilling from tall vases: check

Marvelous Menu

A menu fit for a king including foie gras, salmon and lamb: check

Gateau de Mariage

And a traditional wedding cake made of layers of profiterolles: check

It seems like yesterday, but it’s been twenty years – guess time flies when you’re married to your Prince Charming…  Happy Anniversary, Cynthia!

Ahhhh, soooo beautiful! I do hope one of my sons will agree with my “plans’ on how I see each of their weddings..haha, one definitely being a French countryside soiree…..hopefully he will be marrying an agreeable bride. Totally dreamy and congrats on 20 years Cynthia!

What a dreamy wedding! The setting – stunning. The couple and their wedding party – beautiful. The styling and attire – timeless. Looking through the photos, it’s hard to believe that this was 20 years ago. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding 20 years ago and my dress was… Well, let’s just say that it seemed out dated then. But the classics in these photos would never go out of style. Truly a wedding fit for a princess!
    Happy Anniversary to Cynthia!

Wow – that’s some milestone. Congratulations Cynthia. Neither of you look old enough to have been married 20 years so it must be a winning formula.
