oh this so lovely…thanks for the opportunity!
My mum is a very special lady, she had us three in her early 20′s and always given us the best of her. She never complained, never made us feel out of place, she’s always supported us in everything we did and made us feel very special. I’m very lucky to have her, I know I would not be where I am today without her :) ) xo

  2. No need to enter me in the drawing, but such nice gifts! xx

What a wonderful gift!! I’ve won so much lately that I would like someone else to have a chance at this fabulous trio but wanted to say that peonies are my favorite. It’s so sad that their season is so short.

What makes my Mom special is that she has raised each of us ( all seven ) children – making each one of us feel special. She taught me how to be a better Mom, to get my “supper” going early in the morning, to never do what my kids can do for themselves…she has encouraged me, supported me and counseled me. My favorite quote from her is to “Keep a fuzzy brow and a stiff upper lip” –
She loves fresh flowers and I know that I get this honest, I love them too.
fancy and fine give-away ladies, thank-you!!!! If I win, I will bestow them upon my Mom. She also taught me to share.

  8. Oh, my peony bushes are starting to bud! Love the peony!!!

This is such a beautiful give away, Carolyn!

My mom is so special because not only has she demonstrated beautiful grace and poise throughout her life, she recently went through a difficult time and kept her grace and poise throughout. She also showed me how to create a beautfiul home using whatever you had to work with and instilled in me the love of giving to others!

I love peonies and would love to be able to grow them, but it is way too hot here so I just enjoy seeing pictures of other’s gardens. My Mom is a special lady and a wonderful Mom because she taught me how to love. I always knew my Mom loved me unconditionally and to me that is the greatest gift a mom can give her child. Kathysue

  10. Monica says:

The ladies at Diane James Home have such a knack for showing how beautiful life is, which is one of my mom’s favorite phrases – “look how beautiful life is”, and that is just one of the many reasons that I feel so lucky to have a special mom like her!!! -

  11. My mother has taught me the importance of moving forward whenever lemons squeeze some of their juice into life. Her life exemplifies the utmost dignity and grace in spite of many rough patches including now — at 91 she is nearly blind from macular degeneration but lives on her own with her little dog–and loves being out and about. Her friends call her “remarkable” and she is!

This is a gorgeous giveaway! What made my mom special was that she LOVED being a mom more than anything. She was smart, a fantastic cook and baker, a talented seamstress, but she loved being a mother more than anything. Even with 5 children, she would have loved to have 5 more. This month will be 21 years since we lost her. It is unbelievable to me that I only had her for half of my life.

What doesn’t make my mom special?
Without my mom I wouldn’t be here writing this or have the joy of raising my beautiful girls that make everyday sparkle. She triumphed throughout her life through times that held social, political, and financial turmoil for girls, women, wives and mothers.
She is my role model, my strength and my ultimately my origin.
