Candy Colored Eggs

Candy Colored Eggs

… to Arne Jacobsen who, in 1958, created the iconic “Egg” chair for the lobby and reception areas of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.  More than fifty years later, this fabulously fun form continues to provide a private place to sit and read, and is being photographed in some of the most stylish settings.  There’s even a copycat or two out there but these chicks are saving their pennies for the real deal!

Totally agree – the original is worth the wait. Just shows that classic design, whether modern or traditional never goes out of style!!

Maybe it’s because spring has literally sprung, but eggs is a big topic today! The egg chair is so chic and incredibly comfortable it’s no wonder this has become a classic.

One of my favorite pieces of furniture is the egg chair, I love the lines and they are truly comfortable. I especially love them tossed into the mix of an otherwise traditional home. I really wanted one for my son’s room.
