This last week in August makes us want to fully enjoy the precious moments of a fleeting summer so we’re hoping to squeeze in a picnic or two. In the yard or on the beach, this meal eaten en plein air or al fresco typically involves a basket filled with goodies and the menu does not have to consist of sandwiches, potato salad and brownies. Here’s a sampling of some picnics with international flair that have us thinking outside the basket…
How are you celebrating the last days of August?

What pretty picnics! I’d take that fig baguette anywhere, yum! We are celebrating the last days of summer by being outdoors as much as possible and soaking up every last ray of sun. Yesterday this meant a long lunch by the lake and a few sips of rosé by the pool. A picnic seems like the perfect way to say goodbye to summer! Hope your last few days are gorgeous! XOXO
Why do my picnics never quite look like this?! All so beautiful and each looks delicious!! Maybe a labor day picnic is just what we need…
We’re heading to Maine for the holiday weekend. Hope to enjoy a picnic with lobster rolls and salads – deelish!!! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great one!! xoxo
Every single one of these pictures looks divine!! I definitely need to celebrate the end of summer with an al fresco dinner! Hope you are having a terrific week! xoxo
