Introducing Twig NY

Twig NY Petals Oval Platter

We’ve been dying to carry Twig NY’s whimsical tabletop accessories on our website for quite a while so we finally took the plunge and ordered our favorite patterns for spring.  As huge fans of Brittany Jepsen and her quirky, colorful DYI site The House That Lars Built, we were immediately drawn to her collections filled with botanical beauty.

Twig NY Petals Mugs

For Petals, Brittany pulled flowers apart and arranged the petals into a rainbow pattern that was then photographed and transformed into decals.  The design takes on a vibrant three dimensional quality when used on a mug or platter and the palette is gorgeous.

Twig NY Scandinavian Floral Bowl

Twig NY Scandinavian Floral Mugs

Based on the traditional rosemaling painting technique that is common in Scandinavia, Brittany took a lovely folk pattern and replaced it with beautifully photographed real flowers for her collection, Scandanavian Floral.  We think these mugs are a wonderful way to start the day, don’t you?

Twig NY The Language of Flowers Bowl

The charming floral design of Britanny’s Language of Flowers collection records a love poem written by a boy to his darling in the Victorian-era secret language of flowers.  Starting with the left side of the wreath and reading to the right side, each flower reveals a sentiment though we’re not quite sure what the message actually says.  All we know is that the hand-painted designs are so cheerful and pretty that this serving bowl is sure to become a party favorite.
