In honor of Mother’s Day, we wanted to revisit one of our posts and thank our beautiful mother for her love and support over all these years!
Throughout our childhood, our father was all about the A’s in school, while our mother helped us mind our B’s…

And above all, “bee” all that you can “bee”!
P.S. Yes, we know – there’s no bee in the first image but Audrey is sporting a mighty fine beehive… Happy Mother’s Day!

When creating a beautiful table setting for spring entertaining, we often turn to one of our favorite fresh floral designers, Kenneth Turner.
Pretty Pink Bouquet by Kenneth Turner
Having trained with world renowned florists at Pulbrook & Gould in London, Kenneth opened a shop in Mayfair and became famous for creating visual extravaganzas for clients such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Prince of Wales. He was selected in 2004 to be the exclusive florist for Harrods and continues to give master classes (where Diane was a pupil in 2005.)
Kenneth Turner - The Floral Decorator
Last week, we were asked to design a table setting for an event at Neiman Marcus in Fort Worth, and were inspired by several designs from Kenneth’s book, The Floral Decorator. One of them in particular caught our eye where fresh flowers were used as a garland around the plate. According to Kenneth, “Plate decorations reflect an important but often forgotten point about floral decorations; any display should be made for the enjoyment not just of its creator but also of the beholder.”
Tablesetting Inspired by Kenneth Turner
Using the heads of faux snowball viburnum and delphinium, Diane replicated the look, adding a centerpiece of deep blue hydrangea to complete the setting. The result was a glamorous table fit for a queen (or at least the Prince of Wales!)

Last week we had the pleasure of making a personal appearance at Neiman Marcus in Natick, MA, where Diane met many of her loyal fans and showed them how to create lovely spring bouquets using fresh garden flowers. We loved how the visual team used little vignettes to showcase our designs with some of our favorite home accessories like Frances Palmer and Jan Barboglio.
It was a delightful afternoon spent sipping champagne, nibbling flower-shaped sugar cookies and designing one-of-a-kind bouquets for happy clients. What a treat!
While we’re on the subject of blooming bulbs, did you know that the birth flower for March is the daffodil? These harbingers of spring are well-loved by all, even William Wordsworth…
“I wander’d lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”
