Cut and Paste
The pop up stores at the Grand Central Station Holiday Fair are so much fun and yet, every time we think of stopping by the booths bedecked with festive goodies, we’re always rushing for a train. One of these days, we’ll make a point of catching an earlier train into New York to give us time to browse… One shop that tops our list of favorites is R. Nichols, a stationery and gift company founded by illustrator R. Nichols Hanzlik 14 years ago in the windowless basement of his parents’ home (he does confirm that he was there by choice and not padlocked down there or anything!) Drawing upon the collage skills he learned in 6th grade, R. Nichols has created a wonderful selection of note cards, gift tags, journals and the like, decorated with whimsical images that make you smile. The holiday collection is charming and we love the mix of people and pets in the happy designs – the perfect gift to warm the heart of even the most die-hard Grinch… From boxed note cards,
Holiday Processional Note Cards
to gift tags,
Christmas Taxi Gift Tag
Tree Shopping Print
Skier Gal Luggage Tag
and even candles,
Holiday Votive Trio
you can’t go wrong with R. Nichols!
P.S. We’re sorry about the sporadic posts lately – the holiday season is crazy busy for business owners like us who have to ship last minute orders to retail stores, designers and our own e-commerce customers! We hope to be back on track next week and wish you all a festive weekend.

This is the time of year when you wonder whether you’ll be organized enough to take the family portrait and send it out as a personalized holiday card… or not! For those of you who want a fresh and modern take on “Seasons Greetings”, look no further. FabulousStationery.com offers the best of both worlds – fun, colorful cards, each available in three palettes and designed to be as versatile and unique as you are.
Customized Paloma Card
We like the fact that our return address is printed directly on the back of the card so when it is slipped into the signature envelope, it is revealed. So when the envelope is thrown away by mistake, the recipient still has the sender’s address on the card.
FabulousStationery.com is the inspiration of advertising veterans Jay Arnold (the inventor of the signature return address envelope), Trish DeMasi (the design talent who reinterprets nostalgic designs and makes them clean and modern) and Bruce Campbell (the technology wiz who makes the printing of the personalized cards a reality.) Since its launch five years ago, this online store has caught the attention of many national publications like Time Magazine, Marie Claire and Cottage Living, and with a new line available at retail stores, it’s fan base is sure to grow.
With the holidays mere weeks away, we’re so excited that FabulousStationery.com is giving away a $50 gift card to two lucky readers! All you need to do is visit their online store and leave a comment back here letting us know which card design is your favorite and why. You have until November 12th to enter.
