Orange… The New Black?

Taking a cue from the new Netflix sensation, we’re thinking of adding a bit of orange to our basically black (with shades of gray) wardrobe this fall… and not in the form of a prison jumpsuit! And by a bit, we really do mean a small amount as we tend to play it safe when it comes to fashion. But a tiny dose of orange does go a long way so a sensational skirt or chic clutch will do just fine…

After a weekend of browsing the September issues and with Fashion’s Night Out tomorrow, how could we not post about one of our favorite design houses to have reinvented itself in the past two years.

While Madeleine Vionnet was known for her art of beautifully draping a woman, the collections being shown by new owner Matteo Marzotto (fomerly CEO of Valentino) and designer Rodolfo Paglialunga (who worked with Miuccia Prada for years) are anything but demure.

With a long weekend at the beach, we finally had the time to read Vogue (yes, the September Issue!), Harper’s Bazaar and Elle cover-to-cover and we now know how to add a little fabulousness to our fall wardrobe. Though we love all the classic camel coats, feminine kitten heels and animal print accessories, it’s Miu Miu‘s Fall 2010 collection that might just get us shopping on Fashion’s Night Out.
