We’re back from Atlanta and the good news is we had a great show… The bad news is we returned with big fat colds and will be spending the weekend nursing ourselves back to health. Fortunately, we came across this recipe for citrus cake on our of our favorite foodie blogs, Cannelle et Vanille. A few days ago, Aran received a huge box of citrus from a friend in California and when she has lemons, she makes cake! Just reading this post has helped clear our heads and ease our sore throats. Nothing like a bit of lemon, honey and a slice of cake for a cold.

Lunch in a Box
This last week in August makes us want to fully enjoy the precious moments of a fleeting summer so we’re hoping to squeeze in a picnic or two. In the yard or on the beach, this meal eaten en plein air or al fresco typically involves a basket filled with goodies and the menu does not have to consist of sandwiches, potato salad and brownies.
