Monochromatic

Having shades of one color… These fall days are anything but monochromatic but what’s not to love about this Celerie Kemble room – black and white at its best!

Who knew that behind the beautiful interiors of the superbly talented Celerie Kemble, there lay a slightly darker side… one who embraces black and white decor?
In her new book, Black & White (and a bit in between) , Celerie shows us that rooms devoid of bright hues (a la Dorothy Draper and Madeleine Castaign) are as elegant and timeless as their more colorful counterparts. With more than 350 gorgeous color photographs of her own work and others, Celerie proves that a limited palette is anything but!
Working with Celerie on several of her projects has only heightened our admiration for her unique style and we’re thrilled to give away an autographed copy of her book today. A great present for someone who loves interior design (or you could just keep it for yourself!)
All you need to do to enter is leave a comment below or send us an email at TheBuzz.Giveaway@gmail.com with “Black & White” in the subject line by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 and we’ll choose a lucky winner on Sunday, December 11.

Black and White Decor
Endless Black and White Rug - Madeline Weinrib
Black and White Bedroom Decor
We have wanted to translate the essence of the black and white design craze (like Madeline Weinrib’s Endless Black & White rug) into bouquets for some time now but felt that an entire collection of white flowers in black vases would be too literal.
Green, White and Black - Diane James Home
Then we realized that it wasn’t the color that attracted us as much as the contrast – geometric yet feminine, rustic yet luxurious, youthful yet traditional. In our Unexpected Elegance collection, bright green snowball and white peonies spill over a black glass vase and a lush magnolia blossom is showcased in a silver ceramic cube with cross hatch motif.

The unusual combinations found in our winter selection are sure to surprise and delight!
