Summer Inspiration: Sand & Sea

Country homes come in all shapes and sizes and our mother’s cottage in East Hampton is certainly no Winterthur!  But it is surrounded by a pretty garden and is walking distance from the sea.  This summer, we wanted to feature the soft blues of the ocean which we find so calming, the crisp white of breaking waves and the natural tones of sand and stones.

The Sand & Sea collection (now available on Diane James Home!) contrasts pale blue hydrangea and crisp white lilies with turquoise ceramic planters and pebble-shaped vases.  We even had the manufacturer of our naturally mossed terra cotta pots make a giant clam shell to hold our vanda orchids for that fresh from the beach style!

But we think you don’t have to have a beach house to have one of these as a Diane James design is always at home – not matter where you live!

The Sand and Sea bouquet is so gorgeous and would look beautiful anywhere, but the orchids in the half shell are stunning and super glamorous!!!!!!!!!!! I need to go check them out at your site.
