Something about early May brings a spring to our step… The weather warms, the flowers bloom, we celebrate yet another birthday and the Kentucky Derby is always a great excuse for a party. We’re also mindful as we age that we need to try to live in the moment and have fun, even as time seems to speed up exponentially. The words of Dan Fogelberg’s iconic song are especially appropriate today…
And it’s run for the roses
As fast as you can
Your fate is delivered
Your moment’s at hand
It’s the chance of a lifetime
In a lifetime of chance
And it’s high time you joined in the dance
It’s high time you joined in the dance.
Will you be dancing this weekend with a spring in your step? We hope so!

What a beautiful post – my roses are full of buds, but the first bloom hasn’t quite arrived – I can’t wait!! Happy weekend, ladies ~
So beautiful!! We have traditionally always attended a Derby party on Saturday and things have been so hectic I can’t believe it’s this weekend – time to do my race research!! My favorite quote of time passing is from Noel Coward who noted that as we get older it seems as if we are having breakfast every 10 minutes! Happy weekend!!
We just a read a great quote from Goethe this morning that said “one always has time enough, if one will apply it well” – so appropriate for today’s post, don’t you think?!
Such a pretty post….after my day yesterday I will have a spring to my step….my family is safe…much to celebrate!
Beautiful ladies! This is the perfect Friday post:) I’ll be picking up roses today! Have a wonderful weekend!!
