Pull Up a Chair…

When we moved our office from one side of the building to the other, all we wanted besides pale purple walls were a pair of Herman Miller Aeron chairs.  Sadly, our budget is such that we could only afford the wheels!  But with the launch of the company’s Design for You contest, we may have a chance to sit pretty this fall.

The Artists and Their Chairs

The Artists and Their Chairs

Capturing the power of collective participation and social media, Herman Miller is giving away its iconic furniture and accessories and all you need to do is enter your email.  But here’s the catch – the more people who sign up and enter to win, the more prizes are given out.  The grand prize (if 10,000 people enter) is five custom hand-painted Eames rockers by artists including Andrew Holder.

We got to thinking that perhaps instead of an Aeron chair, we could just get Eames rockers and have them designed to our liking – with flowers, of course!

I’m sorry, I’m trying to compose myself from the chuckles about having the wheels and not the full meal deal 🙂 You’re adorable. So I popped over and signed up! I hope that helps 🙂

There is a chair that I have a mag clipping of. It’s that acrylic, but just on the back and on the seat there is a flower pattern. It’s crazy good looking and now I wish I had more info. I’m sure it’s in high dollar range…but since I clearly don’t know, it could be more attainable than I think.

I am going to hunt that thing down now….

    I’ll be back!

I have the Herman Miller chair. I would be crippled without it. It is not pretty, in my opinion, but I don’t care! Market is fun. I’ll keep you posted!

I am off to enter next!!! Sadly I don’t think I could even afford the wheels at the moment : ( I’m glad I’m not alone! Must tell you, the book club is no obligation whatsoever and we’ll be discussing a book every other week, a bit more manageable. I don’t have the time to commit a book a week either and the last thing I would ever want is for you to neglect your beautiful blog, dear Carolyn! Hope you and yours are well. xx Katie

Very talented artists! Today my mood is “lazy”, lol. Well, I shouldn’t really say that because I worked hard at work and tidied up as soon as I got home. But for *tonight* my mood is lazy 🙂 Hope you’re having a great week!
