While trying to come up with a theme for a summer birthday bash, we keep coming back to this gorgeous table we saw at Spring Awakening last month inspired by the Broadway show, Flower Drum Song.

Nothing quite says “fiesta” like this color combination so if we throw a pink and orange party this summer, here’s what we would do. Send out great invitations…

Custom Stationery by MaeMae Paperie
Bake a couple of cakes…

Pretty Cakes by Martha Stewart
Create beautiful bouquets…

Dr. Delphinium Bridal Bouquet
Paint our nails (like our friend, Stephanie, does – pink on the hands, orange on the toes!)…

Essie - Clam Bake and Fiesta
And recline on pillows while sipping champagne cocktails…

Camilla Meijer Pillow - Rose

Moet Cocktails for Sex and The City 2
Hope all your parties are festive fiestas this summer!

I saw some cool large paper poofs that can be suspended from the ceiling like paper lanterns. They are dramatic and would look so awesome in large numbers.

OK — so inspired by this post! 1-love the color combo 2 – Dr Delphinium is my all time favorite florist in my hometown of Big D 3- I’m working with mae mae paper on something 4- champagne is my all time favorite drink. I almost feel like this post was for me – wink!
