“If you don’t go, you won’t know!” has been our motto ever since we took over the helm of our mother’s business yet as busy mom-preneurs with teenage sons, getting out from behind the computer or stove is a feat. That’s why we try to hit as many places and parties when we do get out and today we’re joining blogging buddy Sue from The Zhush for some adventures in the big city.
It’s Spring Market at the D & D Building so our first stop will be Schumacher where the dynamic duo, Mary McDonald and Martyn Lawrence-Bullard of Million Dollar Decorators, will be sharing their inspirations and creative insights in a discussion moderated by Jason Chen, home furnishings editor at Departures Magazine.
Since we’re still shopping for furniture and light fixtures for the new living room, we’ll drag Sue to several other showrooms to get her thoughts on some of our top picks, and end up to 200 Lexington to celebrate the release of the TRADhome spring issue with Ann Maine at Desiron.
Then, if we still have energy and a skip in our step, we’ll head uptown to Gracious Home to celebrate the launch of Scalamandre’s new Maison collection… Whew – we better bring some comfy shoes!
Do you pack it all in when you get a day “off” from the office?

I think it’s virtually impossible to totally separate yourself from work on your days off but I am getting better at it. This looks like a really fun event! Hope you ladies have some fun and take some pictures to share with us unfortunate souls who won’t be going! Comfy shoes sound like a must!
I seem to “pack it all in” on a daily basis and wondered if it was just me. Glad I have good company.
Sometimes I find it’s refreshing to get out and take it all in and then come back to my studio and create.
INspiration is getting OUT of the office! Enjoy your day and hello to ZHUSH~

I am jealous!!!! As much as I love the west coast lifestyle, I would LOVE to be closer to the hub of everything happening in NYC! Enjoy your day and please share a full report when you return! 🙂
OK…..seriously jealous I won’t be with you today! But, with a Spring Concert tonight and being out all day yesterday, I “need” time at my desk.
I don’t even run a real business and find it hard to fit everything in….so am doubly impressed with all you do! Have a wonderful time and I look forward to hearing all about it soon!
