With a trip to Canada planned for next week, it’s only fitting that we leave you with some fab floral fun by Vancouver artist Bobbie Burgers. As one art critic notes, Bobbie’s flowers “never feel excised from nature, but rather breathed in and exhaled as art.” Her colorful large-scale paintings command attention in any room and pair well with white walls and minimalist furniture, which is how they are displayed in Bobbie’s own home.
“Flowers, to me, are the opposite of still. Changing from minute to minute, they are perfect symbols for life, death, yearning, and beauty,” says Bobbie, and she captures a bloom’s natural energy so beautifully with her bold brushstrokes and vibrant hues. We think all of Bobbie’s work is wonderful and what a way to dress up a white wall!
Happy weekend everyone and see you in a week (we promise this will be our last blogging break of the summer!)
