We have a confession to make… We’re not really into Valentine’s Day. “That’s strange,” you may ask yourself, “aren’t these girls into flowers?” Well, we are, but that still doesn’t change the fact that we think Hallmark seems to have kidnapped February 14th and demanded that we express our love as a ransom. After all, if you’re with the right person, every day should be Valentine’s Day!
That being said, with all the lovely Valentine’s posts out there in blog land, we broke down and ordered these delicious smores’ for our boys.
And with the beauty of online shopping and express delivery, it’s not too late to shop some of our favorite stores!

Well he better! Perfect selection here, and I love the measuring cups.
I could use them all year round.
Happy Friday.

I have a confession too…..I also am not into it, other than its a great day to get a free pass to eat chocolate and I more than oblige 🙂 I think its really overrated, personally…..but when I saw the MANIA that ensued at the markets on Superbowl Sunday, it dawned on me that America just loves a reason to celebrate! Cheers to a happy Valentines day!
I think every holiday seems to be so hyped up now – I must admit Valentine’s is one of my favorites. A few years ago some of my son’s friends were in our local drug store and they had a large heart shaped box of chocolates which they told me they had been saving for their Mom. They had walked to the store.
I think the love has to come from the heart and to me that was love.

Just found your site today from Design Chic. Beautiful! Now I’ve got y’all bookmarked.
Couldn’t agree more but LOVE all your picks!! I have heart shaped measuring spoons too!!
Not a huge chocolate lover, but would happily enjoy the flowers in the first photo!

I agree that every day should be Valentine’s Day — we should always be mindful and grateful for the love in our lives no matter what form it takes. And as PVE says, all holidays have been over-hyped and commercialized (except maybe Thanksgiving). But… I admit that I do love Valentine’s Day… the color, the happy thoughts – it’s a cheerful boost in the middle of winter. Cupid takes a low-key, homemade approach at our house, but always make me smile!
I’m sure the boys will love those sweet S’mores! Yum!
Have a happy weekend! XO
I have to admit, I’m a sucker for Valentine’s Day : ) And for those smores…yummy! Have a great weekend ladies! xx
I like the way you think! Every day SHOULD be Valentine’s day! xoxo
I am into it a little bit!! I love to give my grandkids Vday treats, but for the love of my life, it is time together that is the BEST and that is what I plan for Vday with him, just me and him, dinner in front of the fireplace, music in the background, making plansn for our upcoming trip to Paris and his retirement which is right around the corner, I can not wait!! He said I will probably get tired of him and I told him, Yes, I probably will at times but I can not think of anyone else I would rather get tired of!! Love that boy!! he will always be my pretty boy even when old and gray, Kathysue
I kind of love all holidays…I absolutely love all your Valentine ideas…especially those macarons!
I have to confess to not really being that ‘into it’ either! Aren’t we just a bunch of hopeless romantics? 🙂 That doesn’t mean I won’t be very mad if I don’t get flowers though!
So beautiful…I’d love Cupid to stop by my house but normally he tends not to…;( We don’t celebrate it as much down under (well in my household at least) but I love to look at all the Valentine’s posts…your selection of gifts is wonderful- Have a magical Valentine! xo
