Making Music with an Accordion Calendar
Something about this time of year makes us want to be highly organized and despite all our valiant efforts, we still scramble at the last minute to get things done. Inspired by this post on The English Organizer, we reached out to the lovely Pauline to see what she could do to help us scratch at least one thing off our to-do list by the end of the year: to create an office environment that speaks to our high-end florals and clientele.

Katie Ridder Loves Purple
Pauline started out as Struggling To Be Stylish but given that we think she’s pretty darn stylish (her posts on her kitchen remodel and her master bedroom makeover will attest to that!), we were thrilled to read that she’s started down a new path as a Professional Organizer. Needless to say, we grew up with a very efficient (and pretty scary!) English governess so when we had the chance to work with this British expat, we jumped at the chance. Without further ado, here’s our office before…

Blooming Office Mood Board
OK, so technically the picture above is a mood board but we love all of Pauline’s suggestions. She even took into account that our first retail client was Bergdorf Goodman in the city and stuck to a purple theme.

Bananas for Bergdorfs!
There’s much more that goes into organizing an office so click here to read the entire post. Now that we know what to do, we better start cracking to get it done… Thank you, Pauline, for such great advice and inspiration!

Wonderful! Having had the pleasure of seeing your office, I can attest to the hum and “the buzz” of workers being efficient, having lunch at their desk, while working on “home” paperwork (which is brilliant) and having things in their place. I would love my friend Marnie make huge bulletin boards for all your tear sheets, and mood boards by color! I think working with one color makes for a lasting impression! Excellent ideas from “The English Organizer!”
I have a friend “The Divine Concierge” – another gal with a whip and fierce organization skills.

Wow! Organization, purple AND Bergdorfs all in one spectacular post! (I thought the before was pretty organized though…I think I need a lot of help in this department!) Loved this!
I love how you’re incorporating that Bergdorf purple into your work space! Knowing you….it’s always buzzing with activity and creativity!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

I agree with the zhush – I thought your before looked pretty organized – that should give you a clue as to what my office looks like – think post hurricane. This is the bane of my existence – paperwork, magazines etc – I just never seem to be able to tame it all. Love your inspiration – maybe I’ll start to make a dent over the holidays!
Thanks so much for the kind write-up and I hope some of the ideas will prove useful.
PVE might like to know that a whip is not actually part of my organizing kit. I like to think I’m not too fierce, either 🙂
Happy Friday everyone!
I must say, your office looks pretty organized as it is right now! Can’t wait to see what it looks like with all of the suggestions implemented, should be beautiful!!
