Spring 2001 - "Voss" Collection
It’s no surprise that we’ve been looking forward to today… ever since it was announced this winter that the Met would be celebrating the late Alexander McQueen‘s iconic contributions to fashion, we’ve been counting the days.

Fall 2010 - The Last Collection
Rumor has it that a hundred of McQueen’s designs are artfully displayed including some signature pieces like the dresses he created with extreme silhouettes or the paired-down minimalist sheaths made of feathers or razor clam shells.

Spring 2007 - Sarabande

Fall 2006 - Widows of Culloden
What a treat to be able to gaze upon these creations and be reminded of McQueen’s ability to deliver the unexpected, season after season. Even Sarah Burton, who worked alongside this artist and became a household name last Friday, was reminded of his passion and inspiration when she previewed the exhibit on Monday. We’re sure to be blown away!

Spring 2001 - Kimono Style
Who knows… perhaps one day Kate’s dress will make an appearance!

I’ve had this on my calendar for months and absolutely can’t wait to see it! AMQ is greatly missed. I don’t think there’s anyone out there right now who is so artfully reinterpreting and reinventing fashion.
WOW! Have the best time in the city!

I’ve been looking forward to seeing the exhibit. I appreciate his genius even more now that he’s gone. He pushed the envelope, creatively, in all the right directions!

McQueen was truly a creative genius, I can’t imagine the exhibit being anything less than breathtaking!! I’m sure you will love it!
You have reminded me that I need to put this outing on my schedule. He was amazing. I find it sad that he wasn’t around to see the beautiful Kate marry her prince wearing a creation from his namesake.
