A Pear Affair

Perfect Pears

There’s nothing sweeter or more enjoyable than biting into a perfectly ripe, juicy pear – their lusciousness has us wanting them on our menus all year long.  But they’re not so we make the most of them these days.  Whether served as an appetizer with blue or goat cheese

Oh, I do love pears! Especially the bright crimson ones that started showing up at the market recently. I always want to have a dish of them somewhere, the color is just amazing. They are yummy on their own or with a nice earthy cheese like a aged Gouda.
Hope the pair of you have a lovely day! XO

What amazing creations and the photography is very impressive too! I love pears and I really missed the variety while we were in Europe…the NW does them soooo well. I love them in any combination but I really love them paired with cheese so I’m going to try those recipes soon!

I’m a pear lover…and my favorite way to eat them is just cut into slices. I will try to get more creative…the pear crisp above looks delish!

Ok, I am seriously drooling now! I love pears, and while poached are my favorite way to eat pears, these other specialties look amazing.

I’m not a big fan of pears, but if anyone could ever change my mind…these images might just do it. Oh, and anything with puff pastry is a friend of mine, at least I think that’s what is surrounding those honeyed pears.
