After a long weekend of cleaning out closets, we’re so ready for a day of shopping and wish we had a fairy godmother who could wave her magic wand and POUF!, the perfect fall fashions would fall from the sky to complement our basically black (and sometimes gray) wardrobe.

But all we have is each other, and while that’s a good thing most of the time since we’re brutally honest (“When are you ever going to wear that?!”), we tend to be a bit conservative when it comes to color.

The best shopping is with my mom and sister because like all of you, they will be brutal! And also bring you things to the dressing room to try. Adding color with a pumpkin and turquoise scarf!

I just read your fall faves over at Pretty Pink Tulips, and loved them! Maybe a little pumpkin orange could migrate to your closet? I found myself wearing grays and black yesterday, but think that a shot of color here and there helps make the grey rainy days more warm and bright! Happy shopping!
Love those purple ballet slippers! I usually prefer to shop alone – I am on a mission and don’t have to worry about holding anyone else up if I take forever to make a decision, go back to a store three times, etc.!

I love the jewel tones and can’t wait to wear more fall colors…when the weather makes up its mind and decides which season it is! I do shop with friends but mostly by myself because I do a lot on-line. Also because I shop while walking down the street, running into stores while I’m on my way to an appointment!! Rarely do I declare a “shopping day”

That Tory Burch dress is amazing! I shop very often by myself when I am really on a mission to find something. I have to say my go-to store is Zara!
Am having a major passion for purple right now! Sometimes Net-a-porter, sometimes my local Great Stuff. Right now I’m loving boots….and lusting after a new pair.
And….I seem to have better luck alone. That way I don’t end up with something that I wasn’t completely in love with but was encouraged to buy.
